“Self_In Anticipo” Preview Event – January 2020

Guests were invited to a preview of the collection prior to its official unveiling during London Fashion Week. An ambient vibe of live saxophone music paired with a DJ set filled the room while guests sipped prosecco, munched on sweet treats and took in the atmosphere of the “outdoors-meeting-indoors” elements of the installation. Alexandra Marie gave a small introduction to the collection and a group meditation was then led by the editorial model of the collection, Taylor.
“In anticipo” is a versatile Italian phrase, which can be used in a formal and informal way. It can be a detached, yet polite way to sign an email needing an immediate response, or it can simply mean waiting in anticipation, from the first-person conjugation. The billowing shapes and androgynous features of this collection allude to this idea of being ahead in the mind while still being in the present moment in body.
